Buyer questions

What is the price of a tunnel oven for biscuits?

Every Alif tunnel oven is custom-built, so the price is set by belt width, oven length and number of heating zones, direct or indirect firing, and the fuel system. Share your products, daily output and fuel or power supply on WhatsApp (alifovens.com/whatsapp) or at alif@alifovens.com and Alif Ovens sends a written quotation, usually within 24–48 business hours.

What is the difference between a tunnel oven and a travelling oven?

They are the same machine. A travelling oven (spelled traveling oven in the US), also called a tunnel oven or conveyor oven, carries product on a moving band or mesh belt through a long heated chamber, so baking is continuous rather than batch-by-batch as in a rotary rack oven.

Should I choose a direct-fired or indirect-fired tunnel oven?

Direct-fired ovens pass combustion gases through the baking chamber, giving higher thermal efficiency, which suits biscuits and rusk. Indirect-fired ovens heat a separate chamber so no combustion gas touches the product, which is preferred for bread and delicate products.

Can Alif Ovens supply a complete biscuit plant, not just the oven?

Yes. Alif Ovens supplies turnkey biscuit, bread and rusk plants: mixers, cookie dropping or forming machines, the tunnel oven and packaging machines, with line planning, installation and commissioning support.

What is the HS code for a biscuit tunnel oven?

Tunnel and biscuit ovens are generally classified under HS/HSN code 8417.20 (bakery ovens, including biscuit ovens). Confirm the final code with your customs broker in the destination country.
